Notice of U.S. Export Regulation Changes to China Mainland and Hong Kong

Dear valued customers,

According to the latest regulations issued by the US Department of Commerce (DOC) Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS), Electronic Export Information (EEI) through the Automated Export System (AES) is required for the export of all goods destined for China Mainland and Hong Kong, except common personal items such as clothing. Click to learn more.

Therefore, effective May 19, 2021, proof of AES EEI filling must be provided for the below listed shipments tendered to SF International that are destined for China Mainland and Hong Kong.

 

EEI filling is required if your shipment includes:

  • Under the same Schedule B or harmonized tariff number valued at more than US $2,500 and are sent from the same exporter to the same recipient on the same day.
  • On the Commerce Control List (CCL) with an Export Control Classification Number (ECCN), other than EAR99, being shipped to Mainland China and/or Hong Kong.
  • Requiring an U.S. government export license or permit.
  • Subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
  • Exported under license exception Strategic Trade Authorization (STA) and Validated End User (VEU).
  • That are rough diamonds classified under harmonized tariff schedule 7102.10, 7102.21 and 7102.31.
  • Subject to the U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and parties to the transaction are listed on the Unverified List.
